Serves 6
Ingredients for Homemade Hamburger
- 1 kg of ground beef
- 6 burger buns
- 6 slices of cheddar cheese
- 30 g of blue cheese
- ½ box of cream
- Beef seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 red onions cut into rings
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Lettuce
- Medium bamboo skewers
- Mayonnaise for dressing
- BBQ sauce for dressing
- Ketchup for dressing
- Mustard for dressing
Instructions
Season the beef with salt, pepper and beef seasoning and mold into balls of approximately 175 g each, shape into hamburger patties and set aside.
Add one Tbsp butter to a pan on low heat, add the onion rings and sauté until golden or translucent, add the soy sauce and the brown sugar and let it reduce a little, then remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, melt the other Tbsp of butter and the blue cheese, add the cream and stir until well incorporated, then set aside.
Grill the patties on both sides and add the cheddar cheese on top of each so it melts a bit. Slice the buns into halves, spread the mustard, ketchup and/or BBQ sauce as desired to the bottom half of each bun, add the beef patty with the melted cheese, top with onions, tomatoes, lettuce and cream, place the top half to complete the homemade hamburger and pin down with a skewer to hold everything in place.
Serve your homemade hamburger with fries.
