Mushroom Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

This quick and easy mushroom spaghetti recipe only requires everyday ingredients – ground beef or grilled chicken, tomato sauce, mushrooms, and spaghetti.

Ingredients for Mushroom Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

  • 2 Small tomatoes
  • 300ml tomato paste
  • 400g lean ground beef
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 bunch spaghetti
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 Medium onion
  • 1 pinch grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 handful fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Bring a pot of water to boil. Add 2 servings of spaghetti. Add a pinch of salt into the water. Cook uncovered for about 15 minutes.

Slice the onion and heat up cooking oil in a non-sticky pan over medium heat. Add the onion slices and ground beef and stir until the beef changes to dark brown. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3-5 min. Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp of black pepper to taste.

Dice the tomatoes and add them into the pan with the tomato paste. Add 1/2 tsp salt and stir for 2min before adding the chopped parsley.

Drain the spaghetti and transfer to plates. Top with the mushroom tomato sauce. Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and more fresh parsley.
